Hide God's Word in Your Heart
A complete guide to every feature in Bible Memory.
01Five Ways to Practice
Every verse can be practiced in five different ways. Each mode trains a different part of your memory.
Simply read the verse aloud. The foundation. Marks your first attempt and builds initial familiarity.
Each word is replaced with only its first letter. You fill in the rest from memory — a gentle nudge toward recall.
Copy the verse word by word. As you type, correct words turn purple and mistakes are flagged instantly. Great for beginners.
Every other significant word becomes a blank. Fill them in using inline text fields. Middle-tier challenge.
No scaffolding at all. Write the passage entirely from memory. Hit 95% or higher and the verse is carried to rest.
02Spaced Repetition That Actually Works
When you master a verse, it doesn't disappear. It comes back to you in the Review tab at the perfect intervals: one day later, then three days, then a week, then a month.
This is the same science used by language learners and medical students. You don't have to remember to remember. The system remembers for you.
03Keep the Flame Going
Practice any verse at least once per day to keep your streak alive. The flame icon and day count at the top of the page shows you how many days in a row you've spent hiding God's Word in your heart.
Streaks break at midnight local time. One missed day resets the count — but your mastered verses never disappear.
04Guided Memorization Plans
Open the Plans tab and create a structured journey: 7 Days of Faith, 30 Days of Peace, 60 Days of Psalms. Pick a collection, pick a length, and the system lays out one verse per day from that collection.
Each plan card shows today's verse prominently. When you practice that verse to 95%, it is automatically marked complete. No check-boxes, no friction. Just open the page, practice, keep going.
05Your Personal Library
The My Verses tab is your own collection. Anything you add with the + Add Verse button lives here. These can be:
- Verses for a specific sermon you are preaching or memorizing
- A meaningful passage someone gave you
- Verses from your personal devotional reading
- Scripture the Holy Spirit laid on your heart this week
Private to you, searchable, and fully integrated with all five practice modes and the Review queue.
06From Sermon to Memory in One Click
When you read a sermon post on this site, a purple card appears at the bottom with the week's key verse already identified. One click adds it to your library under a Sermon: [title] collection.
Sunday morning's message becomes Monday morning's memory verse, with no typing and no copy-paste.
07Your Weak-Spot Heat Map
Every verse in your library shows up as a colored cell on your Heat Map. Gray means you haven't started. Red means you're struggling. Yellow means you're learning. Blue means you're strong. Green means you've mastered it.
One glance tells you exactly where to focus today. Click any cell to jump straight into practice for that verse. No more guessing which ones need work.
08Shareable Verse Links
Every verse has its own link. Hit the Share button on any card and the link is copied to your clipboard, ready to text to a friend, paste into a sermon follow-up, or drop in your small group chat.
When someone opens the link, the verse is there waiting for them with a practice button, whether they're signed in or not. Memorization becomes contagious.
09Community Leaderboard
See who in the community is hiding the most Word in their heart this week, this month, or all time. Two rankings: most verses mastered and longest active streak. Names and faces, not anonymous numbers.
Not a competition with the world. A quiet encouragement from the family of God that you are not walking this road alone.
10Community Challenges
A challenge is a shared memorization goal for the whole congregation. Seven days of Psalms during Holy Week. Thirty days of Proverbs this summer. Nine verses on faith, one per month. Pastor or leader creates it, members join with one tap.
Every time a member masters one of the challenge verses, their progress bar ticks forward automatically. The whole community walks together toward the same finish line.
11AI Study Help for Every Verse
Open any verse in practice mode and tap Study this verse. A study drawer slides up with the biblical context, the key words in the original language, two to four cross references, and a short pastoral note on why this passage is worth hiding in the heart.
It's not a commentary. It's a seminary-trained study partner whispering what you would have asked a pastor after the service. Grounded, concise, devotional.
12Visual Verse Cards
Tap Card on any verse and a beautiful purple-and-gold image is generated right in your browser. Download it as a PNG. Post it on Instagram. Text it to your youth group. Drop it in your sermon notes.
The Word made visible, ready to travel wherever your people scroll.
13Small Groups for Family and Friends
Create a group for your family, your Wednesday night men's circle, or your accountability partner. The system generates a six-character join code. Share it with whoever you want in the circle. They enter the code, and they're in.
Inside the group, each member sees the others' names, mastered verse counts, and active streaks. Quiet, mutual encouragement. A private room within the bigger house.
